As you saw, there are natural elements of geographical space
which they have resulted in divisions of various shapes and sizes.
The distribution and extent of these depend on the way
the elements that constitute relate. For example,
vegetation distribution is subject to factors such as
relief, climate and water bodies.
Social continental regions
Just as we can identify several regions
natural in the world, it is also possible to arrange
guishing other regions, which are formed and
recognized by their social characteristics. Between
social regions can differentiate
cultural and economic. What have you heard
about them?
Cultural regions are recognized as having
a population that shares aspects-his-
tory, economy, gastronomy and practices
cultural, among others that differentiate it from
other population groups. An example of region
culture is the Mayan, whose residents had
common features that united them and the difference

Meanwhile, economic regions are arranged
